Why security isn't just a feature for us, it's fundamental to everything we do.

I'm pleased to share that Deskpro has successfully renewed our ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II certifications, completed between May and July 2025. As CEO, I want to personally address why these certifications matter and what they mean for your business.
Prior to joining Deskpro, I worked in a couple of cybersecurity companies. That gave me first-hand experience of the real-world threats that enterprises are dealing with every day.
So when I think about what we need to do at Deskpro, security sits at the very top of that list. It's not a feature we've added. It's woven into the fabric of everything we build and every decision we make. We recently hired Christopher Smith to lead Deskpro's security practice, and the brief is simple: prevent any unauthorized access to customer data. That's not just a goal. It's an obligation we take seriously every single day.
Our Comprehensive Security Framework

Here's what we maintain to protect your data:
- ISO 27001 - The world's best-known information security standard. The framework specifies requirements for an ISMS to manage sensitive information securely
- SOC 2 Type II - Reports on control effectiveness over time for Trust Services Criteria
- PCI DSS - Protects payment card holder data from breaches & theft
- GDPR - EU regulation protecting citizens' data & privacy rights
- HIPAA - US law securing protected healthcare information
- G-Cloud - UK government initiative promoting cloud use in the public sector with a procurement framework
- Cloud Security Alliance - Promotes secure cloud environments via best practices
- Cyber Essentials Plus - Scheme ensuring a basic level of cybersecurity measures in place
We also provide customers with an array of customizations, including the ability to choose how to deploy Deskpro, either on the Cloud or in a Private (self-hosted) environment, and control over where your data is stored. For our cloud hosting, we use industry-leading AWS, and we've recently expanded support for additional AWS regions to give you even more control over your data location.
Staying Ahead of Threats
Deskpro is committed to staying ahead of the evolving application security landscape and ensuring that security best practices are consistently upheld across the entire organization. This isn't a "set it and forget it" approach.
Our team takes proactive steps to identify and mitigate risks, supported by regular management reviews to ensure improvements are implemented where needed. In addition, Deskpro undergoes regular independent external audits, providing assurance that our security measures meet industry standards.
AI Security: Built with Privacy in Mind
We're excited to share how we're bringing this same security focus to AI. Currently, we let you bring your own LLM connections through OpenAI and Azure OpenAI. Your AI integration stays with your preferred AI provider, and the data stays secure within your own protected systems.
As AI becomes increasingly integrated into support operations, we understand that AI security and data control are more critical than ever. The same principles that guide our core security practices apply here: your data remains protected, and you stay in control. We have exciting news coming soon about how Deskpro is addressing the unique security challenges of AI to ensure you can adopt these tools with confidence.
Our Promise Moving Forward
We don't pursue certifications for marketing purposes. We pursue them because they make us better at protecting your data. When you choose Deskpro, you're choosing a platform where security isn't an afterthought. It's the foundation on which everything else is built.
