Finding a Spiceworks alternative doesn't need to be complicated

In 2021, Spiceworks announced to its community that its On-Premise software Desktop would be end-of-life by the end of the year. During this period of deprecation, this particular Spiceworks software became unavailable for download and is no longer maintained or supported. The Spiceworks team announced that due to its older codebase, Spiceworks Desktop had intentionally received minimal development efforts for several years.

For their On-Premise and self-hosted software fans, this change marked a new period of uncertainty for the future of On-Premise software with the Spiceworks helpdesk. The primary suggestion for Spiceworks users is to eventually migrate to Spiceworks Cloud Helpdesk, although they acknowledge has a reduced level of functionality from their On-Premise asset management software that won't be replaced in the Spiceworks Cloud Helpdesk. Alternatively, the remaining Spiceworks On-Premise system, Helpdesk Server, is available but is receiving minimal development efforts in favor of the Spiceworks Cloud Helpdesk system. And for many Spiceworks helpdesk lovers, these options don't give an adequate solution!
