Connecting to your helpdesk is secured with SSL encryption, as well as login rate-limiting and CAPTCHAS to prevent password guessing attacks.

You can define separate password requirements for agents and users.

Lock down access to the agent interface: limit session length, log out inactive agents, use IP whitelisting to prevent login from untrusted IPs.
