Chat 2 in DeskPRO 3.5.2 sees several new features and performs better than before.
Real-time Typing
In Chat 2, you can see a users message as soon as they begin typing it. Be prepared with your answer before the user is even finished articulating it!
Better Tracking
User tracking has improved so you can see where your users are coming from.
- The Active Users grid has new columns for original referring page and landing page and search engine terms
- Chats have a new Session tab that outlines information about the users current visit, including which page they landed on and the referring page, and all search engine terms they've used in the past.
- Chats list additional information about your helpdesk users such as their open tickets and past chats.
Improved Start Chat Form
An email address field has been added right to the "Start Chat" form, encouraging users to identify themselves earlier in the process. This helps you manage leads easier, and also allows DeskPRO to properly link chats to existing users -- even if they aren't actually currently logged in.
Other Improvements
- For browsers that support HTML5, you can now enable desktop notifications for certain chat events like new chats or new messages. Make sure you never miss a thing! (Currently only available in Google Chrome).
- You can now send canned replies immediately at a single click
- A number of performance and stability improvements have been made to reduce the overall load on your browser.
