Desktop Notifier
The Desktop Notifier is a Windows application that you install on your PC. The notifier connects
to any DeskPRO helpdesk and displays information about tickets that need attention.
Features At A Glance
- Easy installation: All you need to do is choose which techs have access, and then direct them to the download page. Anyone
with a Windows PC can use the application.
- Quick overview: The main component of the application lists an overview of all the tickets that are awaiting tech. Double-click
on a group, and your browser will open to the familiar DeskPRO search page where the tickets will be listed.
- Notifications: Whenever new tickets come in, you can choose to recieve a notification. The application can play a sound, as well as pop-up
a small box by your taskbar.
- Customized Groupings: Techs can log in and change their grouping settings for the main component of the program. They can choose to group
by category, priority, workflow and technician.
Requirements
Any PC with Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Vista will be able to use the Desktop Notifier.
Purchase
This is a multi-licensed plugin. 1 license allows 1 technician on your helpdesk to use the notifier application. Every
DeskPRO installation comes with 1 free license so you can see how it all works. If you want more licenses, head over
to your Members Area where you can purchase as many as you need.
Price : $10 per tech (one time fee)
Download
Information on how to download and enable the application
can be found in this manual. You just need
to enable the notifier for one of your techs, and then download the application (located in the /docs/misc/
directory of the DeskPRO package).
